The role of the Social Security Institution is not limited to providing medical care, daily allowances, and other benefits and services specified by law to the six workers who were exposed to work-related injuries due to a fire resulting from a gas leak in one of the sweets manufacturing shops in the capital, Amman, after verifying the employer’s commitment to covering them with the provisions of the Security Law. This is the institution’s duty and responsibility...but it must also verify the availability of all occupational safety and health procedures and measures and its tools at the work site and the extent of the facility’s commitment to applying standards and conditions of occupational safety and health. The law allows the insurance institution to do so with the aim of preserving the safety and health of workers and to ensure that such incidents do not occur again. These incidents will happen in the future as much as possible..!
